Determined to help their friend answer these three important questions, Heron, Monkey, and Dog embark on a journey that takes them through the forest and up the mountain to consult with wise Turtle, who will surely have the answers. Through the adventures of his friends (are they real or imagined?), the child discovers the answers for himself.
