Last September, the Grace Jollymore Joyce Arts Centre had a great crowd for local director Gary Blackwood's screening of The Seer, a suspense thriller filmed entirely on the North Shore with local talent. Well, we have an awesome update for fans of the film. The Seer premieres today on Fandependent Films, an online film festival. The movie can be viewed for free until November 28th and you can vote for it as "your favourite." The winner of the Fan Favourite vote will receive a distribution deal. As the warm summer fades quickly into the crisp fall, so too will the Grace Jollymore Joyce Arts Centre in Creamery Square move to seasonal hours of operation. From October to January, the Ice House Gallery will be open to the public on weekends or by appointment. Our current exhibition is Linda Chisholm's Reflections, a wonderful collection of oil paintings and watercolours.
The Grace Jollymore Joyce Arts Centre will still be open in the evenings during all of our scheduled events. Coming up soon is Garnet Rogers (Oct 22) and Trivia Night (Oct 27), which will round out the month of October. View a complete list of our upcoming events on our Events page or on Facebook.
