Tatamagouche has a rich association with the arts. Founded in 1956, the annual Nova Scotia Festival of the Arts attracted thousands of visitors to the area until 1967 when, due to its success, the festival was moved to a larger location. Between 1980 and 1995, the dramatic musical productions of Dr. Elizabeth (Betty) Murray depicted the history of Tatamagouche and highlighted local talent and enthusiasm for the performing arts. We hope to continue this tradition today.
